#2 - You'll find it makes sense!
From the moment we wake, every choice we make has an impact on our day. Today's Mimit explores the liberating power of conscious decision-making and emotional discipline. Discover how simple daily choices can transform your outlook and bring balance to a complicated world.

This dear friends, is so obviously, patently true that you might wonder why it even needs saying! But in a world that's becoming increasingly complicated, puzzling and emotionally charged it's important to keep one's balance.
Best decisions
From the moment we wake
Every choice we make
Has an impact on our day
If we resolve to stay calm
There's no need for alarm
In whatever we undertake.
For those who take a passing interest in astrology, I happen to be a Libran. It's said we have a tendency to be indecisive. I'll own up to that. I confess to having a butterfly mind that gets excited by all kinds of ideas, theories and just how many ways can you make chick peas the most delicious item on your dinner table.
But I digress. One day I realised - slow learner you might say - that actually I had a choice over every single aspect of my life here on this planet. Why? I am in charge of my emotions! Emotions, as we all know can be turbulent things that can throw us into a chasm of despair or equally well swing us up to the stars. Or, less dramatically, just make life seem rather flat and a bit ho-hum.
Now, the 'Why' is a simple truth. You are, I am, we are - all in charge of our emotions. But here's the rub, as the Bard said. The 'How' takes a bit of discipline. So I leave that to your innate wisdom. You'll find your own way to make the choices that won't just make your day better, but will give your life a whole new sense of liberation.
Here are some choices that help me start the day:
Waking up earlier? Good choice.
Looking at news first thing? Bad choice.
Meditation first thing? Good choice.
Stay in bed five minutes longer? Bad choice.
Walk before breakfast? Good choice.
Writing this Mimit seemed to sum up, for me, the power ofgood choices. When of course, I apply the necessary discipline to make them!
